Job Description

We are looking for a Regional Development Researcher to complement our strong and dynamic research skill-set. The successful applicant will bring specific skills in spatial econometrics and spatial data analysis, and be willing to work in a multi-method way.

Responsibilities

  1. Conduct research on low carbon rural economy, regional economic development, spatial development and planning
  2. Develop and manage contract research projects
  3. Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and engage with stakeholders through regular Knowledge Exchange events

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a PhD and several years of research experience in rural/regional economics. They should be able to demonstrate an ability to win research funding and present information to various audiences.

Salary

An estimated salary of £55,000 - £75,000 per annum reflects the complexity of this role and the expertise required.
