Job Description:

This fully funded PhD studentship is an exciting opportunity for a researcher to contribute to our ongoing projects on whole systems energy transitions. Under the supervision of SPS academics Dr Mark Winskel and Dr Jess Britton, you will be working closely with our team to analyse interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity in whole systems energy research, with a focus on identifying innovative solutions for a more sustainable energy future.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • You must have a strong background in a relevant field such as energy studies, sociology, or environmental science
  • A proven track record of research experience, preferably in a related area
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Project Overview:

  • This project is linked to the UK Energy Research Centre's interdisciplinary research programme on energy transitions in the UK and internationally

Requirements:

  • Available to start by September 2025 at the latest
