About the Role

As the Magnet Development Programme Lead, you will be responsible for leading a group of Magnet Development Engineers and acting as an expert in magnet technology. You will provide technical and programmatic leadership for high-value projects, ensuring that they are delivered to the highest standards.

You will also be responsible for identifying opportunities for innovation and securing funding for the R&D programme. This will involve collaborating and engaging with internal stakeholders, academia, and national and international industry partners.

Key responsibilities will include proposing exploitation plans for existing and future UKAEA magnet test facilities, building strategic partnerships with relevant industry, academia, and research institutes, and leveraging the economic case for HTS magnet technology.
