Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified accountant with a proven track record of hands-on experience in a small and intimate environment. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage cash flow, create and review budgets, and provide financial information to support business decisions. They will also be responsible for assisting in the provision of financial information for senior leadership teams and aiding the business in securing required funding by providing key forecast information.

About the Role

This role has come about due to several factors including growth, restructure, and the necessity to evolve with the business needs. As the primary contact for financial matters, you will be responsible for managing a small team of accounting professionals based on the outskirts of Edinburgh. You will be accountable for delivering financial information and ensuring the smooth running of the finance function.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage cash flow and regular reporting
  • Create and review budgets, challenging department heads on spend and business plans
  • Assist in providing financial information for senior leadership teams in good decision-making
  • Aid the business in securing required funding by providing key forecast information
  • Improve ongoing process improvements as the company grows and expands
  • Be a strong team manager and support the development of a robust finance function
Requirements

We are looking for a professionally qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with a proven track record of hands-on experience in a small and intimate environment. The ideal candidate will be able to look at high-level information required by senior leadership teams, but also be hands-on at month-end. We are looking for a sociable and interactive finance professional who can work within a small but growing company and wants the opportunity to join a truly incredible movement.

What We Offer

The successful applicant will be offered a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, the company offers a range of benefits including flexible working, enhanced sick leave, free parking, and holiday entitlement that is way above average. The role involves a blended working model, with 60% of time spent in the office and 40% working from home. However, this may change, and you may be expected to work more often in the office if needed.
