Job Overview

This Full-Time role as SEND Support Specialist offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child's life. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children with SEND, particularly in Early Years Foundation Stage settings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to a child with SEND in the EYFS setting, utilizing effective strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviors.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to create a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment, ensuring consistency and integration with parents and caregivers.
  • Monitor and document the child's progress and behaviors to guide best practices, developing and implementing personalized learning plans that cater to their unique needs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience supporting children with SEND, especially in EYFS settings.
  • Training in de-escalation techniques and behavioral management strategies is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient, compassionate, and resilient approach to supporting children.
