**Role Overview**:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Mentor to support our post-16 students. This role offers flexible hours, making it ideal for individuals looking to balance work with other commitments. As a Teaching Assistant Mentor, you will play a crucial role in helping students achieve their academic and personal goals, providing guidance and support tailored to their individual needs.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-on-one and group support to post-16 students, focusing on both academic and personal development.
- Assist students with their coursework, study strategies, and organization.
- Offer mentoring and guidance to help students navigate challenges and build confidence.
- Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and report on student progress, providing feedback and adjusting support strategies as needed.
- Help to foster a positive and motivating atmosphere within the college.

**Requirements**:

- Experience working with post-16 students, ideally in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a supportive approach.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.

**Desirable**:

- Relevant qualifications or training in education or mentoring.
- Experience supporting students with a range of needs and abilities.
- Knowledge of post-16 curriculum and study techniques.
