We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Education Assistant to support students with SEN, particularly those with SEMH needs, in our team in Islington.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lesson Support: Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging, accessible lessons across various subjects.
  • Classroom Management: Help maintain a positive, focused learning environment, particularly for students with SEMH challenges.
  • Individual & Group Support: Provide one-on-one and group assistance, with emphasis on SEN and SEMH needs.
  • Skill Development: Encourage students to build study skills, confidence, and a love for learning.
  • Resource Preparation: Organise and prepare learning materials and resources to support diverse learning needs.
  • Student Welfare: Contribute to students' personal and social development with sensitivity to their SEN and SEMH needs.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Experience: Prior experience working with children or young people, particularly supporting students with SEN and SEMH.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Passion for Education: Genuine commitment to supporting student achievement and well-being.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal abilities to build positive relationships with students and staff.
