Lead a Team of Insurance Professionals

We are seeking a talented Team Leader to join our Commercial team in East Grinstead. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the team and supporting your Team Director in maintaining overall responsibility for the Commercial Team book of business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain a portfolio of clients to the highest standards
  • Ensure accurate processing of renewals and adherence to company processes and procedures
  • Responsible for management administration for Account Handlers (holidays, sickness, absence)
  • Establish recruitment needs and take responsibility for the interviewing process and implementation of training procedures for new starters
  • Deal with performance issues for the team and conduct matters quickly and appropriately
  • Responsible for the setting of personal training plans and carrying out appraisals for direct reports

Requirements:

  • Extensive insurance broking experience
  • Ability to prioritise and organise own workload to ensure deadlines are adhered to
  • Excellent relationships skills, enthusiasm, and problem-solving skills
  • Team leader or people management experience
  • Thorough knowledge of Industrial processes, security requirements, Health & Safety legislation, and risk management techniques
  • FCA Regulations for dealing with Commercial and Personal lines Customers
  • Credit management procedures
