Insurance Team Manager Role

We're seeking a skilled Insurance Team Manager to lead a team and build strong relationships with clients and customers.

As an Insurance Team Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Commercial team and managing a portfolio of clients to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain a portfolio of clients to the highest standards
  • Lead a team and support the Team Director in maintaining overall responsibility for the Commercial Team book of business
  • Ensure accurate processing of renewals and adherence to company processes and procedures
  • Manage administration for Account Handlers, including holidays, sickness, and absence
  • Establish recruitment needs and take responsibility for the interviewing process and implementation of training procedures
  • Deal with performance issues and conduct matters quickly and appropriately
  • Set personal training plans and conduct appraisals for direct reports
  • Provide a quality service to existing clients, covering all aspects of their insurance arrangements
  • Deal with new business, mid-term adjustments, and renewals in relevant markets according to company terms and conditions
  • Deal with telephone enquiries promptly and refer queries to the appropriate person when necessary

Requirements:

  • Extensive insurance broking experience
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workload to ensure deadlines are met
  • Excellent relationships skills, enthusiasm, and problem-solving abilities
  • Team leader or people management experience
  • Thorough knowledge of industrial processes, security requirements, Health & Safety legislation, and risk management techniques
  • FCA Regulations for dealing with Commercial and Personal lines Customers
  • FCA Regulations for dealing with Clients Money, Treating Customers Fairly, Complaints regulations, and Data Protection Act
  • Credit management procedures
