Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced and skilled Radiology Site Deputy Office Lead Manager to join our team at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of the radiology department, you will play a vital role in managing and monitoring the performance of the site's administrative and clerical team.


Main Responsibilities:



  • Manage and monitor the performance of the site's administrative and clerical team, ensuring that all core services are covered and that any issues or gaps are highlighted to the Radiology Admin Lead/PA.
  • Effectively use the Radiology Information system and Patient Administration systems to manage office equipment and consumables.
  • Develop rotas to ensure that all core services are covered, highlighting any issues or gaps to the Radiology Admin Lead/PA.
  • Respond to escalations by Appointments Supervisors and Clerical Officers when taking calls and using developed communication skills to liaise with distressed or anxious patients and carers.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading a team and promoting an excellent service culture.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with non-routine situations.
  • Good personal judgment skills, with the ability to recognise risk and identify alternative appropriate courses of action.
  • Able to plan and organise own workload, including developing and implementing new processes and procedures.
