**Job Overview:**

GSL Education - Manchester is supporting a Secondary School in South Manchester that needs an Educational Support Specialist to start ASAP on a full-time, permanent contract.

As an Educational Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and students in KS3/KS4. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to work closely with students with special educational needs (SEN), supporting their academic, emotional, and social development.

This secondary school has an excellent reputation in the local area. You will be working in an excellent setting, supporting pupils with special educational needs and ensuring they are staying on task and can access all lesson materials.

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.

We have previously placed individuals from Youth Work backgrounds, sports coaches, and psychology graduates as they have all gained experience in working with young people in formal settings and have transferable skills to the role of Educational Support Specialist.

The estimated salary for this role is £17,000 - £22,000 per annum, depending on experience.
