Supporting SEND Students in Education

Hays Specialist Recruitment - Education is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Manchester. This role involves providing essential support to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing one-to-one support to students with SEND, assisting them in their learning and development.
  • Implementing behaviour plans and working with teachers to tailor support to individual student needs.
  • Communicating effectively with students, parents, and teaching staff to ensure seamless support.
Requirements

We are looking for an enthusiastic and resilient individual with a passion for supporting children and young people with SEND. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working with children and young people with SEND.
  • An empathetic and patient approach to supporting students' learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and effectively in a team.
  • Able to obtain or already hold an Enhanced DBS certificate.
