We're seeking an efficient and proactive Gallery Technician to join our team at the prestigious Canterbury Gallery.

This part-time role involves maintaining gallery operations and standards, working 4 days out of 7. You will be responsible for setting up new artist releases, gallery events, and exhibitions throughout the year.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the stockroom efficiently, ensuring that all artwork is clearly labelled and accessible.
  • Processing all gallery deliveries correctly and in line with stockroom procedures.
  • SUPPORTING the gallery team with re-hanging as and when required, including printing and displaying price tags and artist biographies for all artwork on show.
  • SUPPORTING the gallery team in the organising and running of artist appearances and other gallery events and exhibitions throughout the year.
  • Providing after-sales follow up with clients and providing feedback on client satisfaction.
