About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Product Owner to join our team at Digital Gurus. As a Digital Product Owner, you will be responsible for researching and determining business needs to create the end-to-end digital customer journey for our financial products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs, translating them into product requirements.
  • Define the vision for our company's product.
  • Create a product road map based on this vision.
  • Develop and document user stories and user story maps.
  • Lead design workshops to address business requirements.
  • Manage the product backlog and continuously prioritize items based on evolving needs.
  • Oversee all stages of product development.
  • Deliver product demonstrations and lead sprint reviews to gather feedback on developed features.
  • Participate in Scrum meetings and product sprints, representing the customer throughout the SDLC.
  • Define product requirements and work closely with the UI/UX team to ensure alignment with product goals.
  • Understand product domains and explain complex issues in simple terms to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation of the product and its features for clients and business users.
  • Effectively communicate the value/benefit of new product features to business users and clients.
  • Oversee the delivery of new product features, review feedback, and decide whether it should be added to the product backlog.
  • Support senior management in evaluating existing products and forming strategies to select, develop, or update new/existing products.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a product owner role or a leading role in software development projects in a customer-facing capacity.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to a range of audiences, acting as a translator between technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience working with agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills and an informed, evidence-based approach.
  • A passion for creating solutions with a positive attitude to change.
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the product owner role.
  • Excellent at documenting requirement specifications, development sprint tickets, and producing timelines and supporting documentation for senior business leaders.
  • Leading daily standups, 3 Amigo sessions, and Scrums.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Projects).
