Job Opportunity: Estates Operative

We are seeking a skilled and flexible individual to join our Estates team at South Hampshire College. As an Estates Operative, you will play a crucial role in providing an effective facilities and maintenance service across our sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide building and site operations, including mechanical and electrical systems and plant rooms.
  • Support with Emergency Services, including evacuations, lock downs, and first aid.
  • Complete grounds maintenance duties, including manual handling of college equipment and deliveries.
  • Provide site security and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to deal with challenging situations.
  • IT skills, including MS Office and Outlook.
  • General DIY skills and ability to work unsupervised.
  • Minimum GCSE Grade 4/C in numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Current driving license at Cat B and Cat D.
  • MIDAS trained (preferable but can be provided).
