Job Title: Community Support Casework Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to lead our Community Support Casework Team, providing critical support to refugees in West Sussex.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of caseworkers, providing direct intervention to refugees through targeted support and partnership working with dedicated schools or health teams. You will play a key role in the Communities leadership team, bringing your knowledge and expertise into the development of services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise a locality-based team providing direct intervention to refugees.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure quality assurance and adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate with peers across the directorate to ensure the needs of refugees are met.
  • Communicate effectively with members of the public, including refugees, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Passion for working with migrants and ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience of being placed under significant emotional demand by the stories of the people you work with.
  • Ability to focus for lengthy periods and determine how to meet the future needs of refugees.
  • Commitment to raising standards in practice and securing better outcomes for refugees.
