Our Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our Home First & Reablement service as a Rehabilitation Assistant. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of our patients and service users, supporting them to regain their independence and live safely and confidently at home.
As a Rehabilitation Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care and support to our patients and service users. Your key responsibilities will include providing practical, personal, and intimate care, whilst maintaining high levels of hygiene and health and safety. You will also assist patients in working on outcome-focused goals, enabling them to relearn or develop new skills and abilities required for daily living.
Key qualifications for this role include a GCSE level Pass or equivalent in Maths and English, as well as the Care Certificate. Previous experience in a health or social care environment providing personal and intimate care to people is desirable, but not essential. We offer a fantastic development opportunity for new to care individuals, including a structured development plan to achieve the Care Certificate and progress from a pay band 2 to pay band 3.

Our service runs 24/7, and all our Rehabilitation Assistant roles offer core hours of Full-time roles operate on a 4-days on, 4-days off schedule and part-time roles consist of 2-days on, 6-days off. A full Driving Licence valid for the UK and access to a vehicle insured for business use are essential for this role.
