We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Herdsperson to join our dairy team at REAL Success Ltd.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to take on a leadership role and contribute to the success of our dairy operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day running of the dairy operation, including milking and yard work.
- Oversee the health and wellbeing of the herd, ensuring the highest standards of animal care.
- Lead the team effectively to achieve daily tasks and targets.
- Responsible for achieving the farm's production targets, including milk production.
- Liaise with vets, nutritionists, and farm consultants to ensure the best possible outcomes for the herd.
- Take responsibility for dry cow management, calving cows, and colostrum protocols.
- Utilise data provided to inform decision-making and maintain compliance and records.
- Perform general farm maintenance and ensure the overall farm is tidy and safe to operate.
- Assist with farm machinery and general farm maintenance.
Requirements:
- A full UK driving license.
- Proof of UK right to work.
- AI and foot trimming qualification preferred.
- Telehandler and forklift license preferred.
