Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Floral Product Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless working with customers and our account team, including full alignment with commercial and NPD goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing data and insight for MM Flowers and 3rd party customers.
- Support the Commercial proposals with technical input and dialogue.
- Work closely with the Commercial teams to understand market requirements and performance, and to research and develop new varieties and packaging formats.
- Use data and experience to ensure that raw material and finished goods are appropriately benchmarked.
- Contribute to sourcing decisions to deliver consistency and product quality appropriate to needs.
- Assist with advising the MM Flowers team on the correct quality systems and principles, to set leading customer and industry standards.
- Ensure databases with accurate data entry.
Requirements
- Experience of the horticultural/retail industry beneficial.
- Understanding of breeding, growing and post-harvest of fresh produce.
- Basic knowledge of plant biological and physiological processes.
