Patient Safety Specialist

Swansea Bay University Health Board is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Podiatrist to join our team as a Patient Safety Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your expertise in patient safety and incident investigation to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Main Responsibilities- Conduct thorough investigations into patient safety incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of patient safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify and mitigate risks, promoting a culture of safety and quality within the organization.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on patient safety matters, supporting the development of evidence-based practices and policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the design and implementation of projects aimed at enhancing patient safety and outcomes.
- Registered Podiatrist with current HCPC registration.
- Postgraduate experience in patient safety, risk management, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to workload and priorities.
