About Us

We are 4basebio, a cutting-edge biotechnology company based in the UK, dedicated to providing high-quality, synthetic DNA for use in gene therapy and gene editing platforms. Our rapid growth has led us to establish a GMP gene synthesis hub at our site north of Cambridge to scale and optimise our proprietary DNA manufacturing process.

We seek a skilled Cleanroom Production Support Professional to join our team in Swavesey. This role will involve performing functions related to GMP manufacturing operations, including daily cleaning, environmental monitoring, housekeeping, and supporting our scientists.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a controlled laboratory environment through daily cleaning tasks, ensuring all surfaces, floors, and waste are properly disposed of.
  • Oversee laundry of lab coats with subcontractors and contribute to the monitoring and maintenance of the facility and direct utilities according to company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Support manufacturing operations, including component transfer and preparation, equipment and area preparation, media preparation, up and downstream manufacturing, and cleaning of process areas.
  • Maintain accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies to ensure quality and adherence to regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality policies, SOPs, and Health and Safety procedures.
  • Support troubleshooting activities and assist with continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar environment is preferred.
  • Cleanroom experience or a good understanding of GMP and Good Clinical Practice is desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, organisational abilities, enthusiasm, and comfort working autonomously or in a team environment are essential.
  • The willingness to follow GMP PPE requirements during working hours is mandatory.
  • Excellent attention to detail is required.
  • The ability to hold the right to work in the UK is necessary.
What We Offer:

A competitive salary of £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
