Job Summary

This role will be responsible for coordinating, documenting and performing analysis of incoming samples across various laboratories. The successful candidate will be responsible for goods in/out, following Laboratory Procedures and Work Instructions, maintaining equipment and assisting in the maintenance of the food/beverage laboratories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, document and perform analysis of incoming samples.
  • Responsible for goods in/out, following Laboratory Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Maintain equipment to ensure it is fit for purpose and organize/coordinate maintenance with contractors.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the food/beverage laboratories, ensuring good housekeeping practices and following cleaning schedules, GLP and GMP.
  • Work to a high standard of safety and cleanliness, being responsible for own personal safety and that of others in the area.
  • Liaise with other departments to minimize process interruptions.
  • Undertake various Lab tasks as directed.
  • Assist in maintaining stock levels and preparing food/beverage samples as required for internal and external use.
  • Coordinate and carry out analysis of samples, including taste testing of finished products.
  • Input recipes on the SAP IT system.

Requirements

  • 5 GCSEs grade c or above, including maths & science.
  • Good Laboratory Practice experience, if possible.
  • Spoken and written English.
  • UK/EU driving license.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, Excel).
  • Ability to undertake some physical activities and apply safe working practices.
  • Interest in food/drink beneficial.
  • Being proactive.
