Job Summary

We are seeking a part-time Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary teams, providing specialist care for individuals with complex neurological disorders. The successful candidate will work in a hybrid model, balancing office and home-based work, with a mix of phone, clinic, and patient home visits.

Main Duties
  • Provide highly specialist psychology services for patients with post-COVID and complex neurological conditions, including neuropsychological, psychological, cognitive, and neuro-behavioural assessment and intervention.
  • Support the implementation of national standards for psychological care, ensuring team members are updated and outcomes are monitored.
  • Lead the team in service development, providing client-centred education, expert opinion, and training for clients, carers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Oversee and support the team in managing complex cases and risk issues, taking relevant action as required.

Person Specification
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology.
  • Experience of specialist neuropsychology assessment and treatment, working with a wide range of client groups and presenting problems.
  • Skills in complex methods of psychological assessment, intervention, and management, with excellent team working and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, complex and clinically sensitive information to clients, families, carers, and professional colleagues.
