IT Technician Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IT Technician to join our team at 100% IT Recruitment. As an IT Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure, including networks, hardware, and software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all IT equipment is properly maintained and troubleshoot any issues that arise
  • Manage the performance and maintenance of our software platforms
  • Monitor IT usage and ensure access to the network and applications is secure
  • Manage the maintenance of other IT-operated systems, such as the telephone system and CCTV
  • Provide technical support to users, including 1st and 2nd line support and desktop support
  • Provide IT training when required
  • Help deliver and manage projects through research, analysis, and planning to implementation and review
  • Manage inventory of hardware and software
  • Perform and check backups
Requirements:
  • Excellent proficiency in IT, including hardware configuration and diagnostics, network management, system implementation and control, system security and risk management
  • Enthusiasm, drive, and a proactive attitude to cope with the demands of this busy department
  • Outstanding customer care
  • Excellent communication skills, able to work well within a small team and establish good working relationships with all users
  • The ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload effectively
  • Be capable of showing initiative, including the ability to think ahead and work flexibly
  • A willingness to learn and develop as technology and best practice evolves
  • Good to excellent knowledge of Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Azure/Entra ID/Office 365 platform
