Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Range and Cluster Analyst to join our Waitrose Range Strategy and Performance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing recommendations for the medium and long-term strategy, particularly focused around Ranging, Clustering, and Micro Space. You will use all available data from our Commercial and Partnership data platforms (via Waitrose Analytics) and apply data mining, extraction, manipulation, and modelling techniques to deliver performance improvements across our convenience channel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop recommendations for the medium and long-term strategy, particularly focused around Ranging, Clustering, and Micro Space.
  • Use all available data from our Commercial and Partnership data platforms (via Waitrose Analytics) to inform your recommendations.
  • Apply data mining, extraction, manipulation, and modelling techniques to deliver performance improvements across our convenience channel.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with other key teams and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate and lead teams to deliver the Strategic Range and Space opportunities via the team responsible for the building of Range and Planograms for Convenience.

Requirements:
  • Exceptional space and range knowledge in the Convenience stores channel.
  • Experience in managing and improving Range and Micro Space performance.
  • Highly data numerate and able to analyse varied and complex data sources.
  • Able to distil information into a coherent and relevant story or answer.
