About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planning Consultant to join our team at Gerald Eve LLP. As a key member of our Planning & Development team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional client service and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement planning strategies for clients across the UK, with a focus on national projects and growth areas.
  • Prepare and submit planning applications, including major applications, representations, and appeal statements.
  • Conduct planning appraisals and provide expert advice to clients and colleagues.
  • Promote sites through Local Plan documents and prepare representations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Liaise with the Development team, Agency, and Capital Markets teams to advise on opportunity sites and present options to clients.
  • Attend client meetings and lead instructions as the primary point of contact.
  • Identify business development and client care opportunities.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and research initiatives to raise the profile of our National P&D team.
  • Mentor and supervise junior team members.
Requirements
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality planning services and building strong client relationships.
  • Excellent commercial acumen, networking skills, and ability to identify business growth opportunities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring others, with a focus on developing their skills and expertise.
  • A good understanding of planning policies and procedures, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context.
