About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Planning and Development Manager to join our team at CBRE. As a key member of our Planning and Development team, you will play a critical role in providing expert planning advice to our clients across various sectors and land uses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide planning advice to external and internal clients on a range of development projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial developments.
  • Support senior members of the team in preparing strategic and major applications, including planning and regeneration strategies.
  • Prepare planning appraisals, local plan representations, statements, and evidence documents, including analysis of planning policy and assessment of client proposals.
  • Advising and coordinating project outputs from a range of disciplines and professionals, working in a multidisciplinary design team.
  • Manage projects, including planning applications, planning appraisals, development plan representations, and land promotion, with support from project leads.
  • Strategic monitoring of local, regional, and national planning policy and legislation.
  • Mentor junior members of the team through their APC qualification.
Requirements
  • Qualified Planner/Senior Planner (MRTPI or MRICS P&D) with a minimum of 1-2 years post-qualification experience.
  • Previous planning consultancy experience or a local authority Development Management or Planning Policy background at a comparable level.
  • Dynamic, enthusiastic, flexible, and commercially astute with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong focus on own professional skills and integrity.
  • Experience of working on a range of development projects, including infrastructure and regeneration projects.
  • Ability to multi-task, work to tight timescales, and to a high standard.
  • Willingness to continue learning new technical skills and contribute to CBRE's wider ESG agendas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and analytical abilities.
