About the Role

Nelson and Colne College Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Trainer Assessor in Engineering to join our Apprenticeship provision. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessment to apprentices in the field of engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver all elements of the assessed standards, including training, mentoring, learner reviews, timely feedback, and assessment.
  • Deal with apprenticeship recruitment and enrolments.
  • Be involved in apprentice, College, and company inductions.
  • Take a "hands-on" approach with apprentices, coaching and demonstrating best practice in line with the new Standards.
  • Conduct initial assessment of apprenticeship needs.
  • Carrying out monthly active learning and 12 weekly progress reviews with apprentices and employers.

Requirements

  • 4 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject.
  • A1 qualification (or willingness to work towards).
  • Teaching Qualification (or willingness to work towards).
  • Current industrial experience/ up to date industry CPD.
  • Experience of delivery and assessment of qualifications in this area.
  • IQA qualification (or willingness to work towards).
