Youth Caseworker Position

Salary: £26,000

We are seeking dedicated Youth Caseworkers for our innovative YEF (Youth Endowment Fund) initiative. In this role, you will be instrumental in establishing constructive relationships with young individuals, offering mentorship, support, and opportunities for social growth.

Your focus will be on engaging with young people who are disengaged or have a history of offending, with the goal of minimizing first-time offenses and preventing recidivism. This will involve mentoring, providing diverse support, and participating in programs alongside them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging presentations and foster enthusiasm while building and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders, including parents, caregivers, students, and young individuals.
  • Cultivate trusting relationships with young people through active listening, empathy, and respect.
  • Design, organize, and implement innovative individual action plans and interventions aimed at enhancing personal development, leadership abilities, and community engagement.

The role will be based in the West Midlands area, with a requirement for convenient commuting.

Qualifications for the Youth Caseworker position include:

  • Experience working with offenders or individuals with multiple or complex needs.
  • Proven experience in delivering services both one-on-one and in group settings.
  • A track record of success in a target-driven environment, consistently exceeding performance goals.

Familiarity with the criminal justice system and relevant legislation, such as the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act, would be advantageous.
