Company & Role:

Pertemps Network Group is seeking a skilled Technical/Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Technical Engineering Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the safe design and installation of projects and contributing to external technical decisions within the industry.

We are looking for an experienced Technical/Project Engineer to work in a Hybrid role, with flexibility to travel to operational sites and customer locations around the UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical disciplines, including mechanical, process, and electrical engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and gain approval for installation projects/layouts for external customers.
  • Advise teams on necessary equipment and tools for installations.
  • Provide technical guidance to customers on matters including process safety, product knowledge, product storage, regulation, and maintenance.
  • Support incident investigations and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and take on a hands-on approach to long-term projects.
  • Liaise with suppliers, clients, and partners.
  • Ensure compliance with company and industrial guidelines, standards, processes, and legislation.
  • Manage the Engineering Document Management System (EDMS).
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of industry best practices and complete necessary training as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to Chartered Engineer (CEng) level, or working towards.
  • A background covering various technical disciplines, ideally including mechanical, process, and electrical engineering.
  • Strong working knowledge of safety and risk management.
  • Experience working on long-term projects would be advantageous.
  • Strong computer literacy and the ability to pick up new software quickly.
  • Comfortable working with people with varying backgrounds, disciplines, and seniority.
  • Capacity to make quick, clear decisions which may include tough choices or considered risks.
