Role Overview


As a Horticulture Project Coordinator, your responsibilities will include planning events, managing information uploads, and communicating with clients while recording activities through the Farming Connect online systems.


Farming Connect serves as a Knowledge Transfer, Innovation, and Advisory Service for farming and forestry businesses in Wales, funded by the Welsh Government. Your specific duties will involve delivering and coordinating the Farming Connect Horticulture project.


You will manage files and records, ensuring that all project documentation, spreadsheets, and databases are organized, current, and easily accessible.


Additionally, you will support the Project Manager by preparing monthly funding claims, performance summaries, and future projections, ensuring that all financial and performance data is accurate and timely.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative support to project staff
  • Enter and maintain data on BAS and BOSS (Farming Connect online systems)
  • Liaise with training providers and support stakeholder delivery partners
  • Assist in executing the Communications Plan by actively promoting the project
Candidate Profile

To qualify for the Horticulture Project Coordinator position, you should possess:

  • Experience in a customer service environment
  • Ability to coordinate and support project activities in the horticulture sector
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
