In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of nurses and supporting the delivery of high-quality care to children and their families.
As a Surgical Paediatric Care Manager, you will assess care needs and develop individualised care plans, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care throughout their journey with us.
You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that support the ongoing improvement of our services.
Main Responsibilities
- Leading and managing a team of nurses to deliver high-quality patient care
- Assessing patient needs and developing individualised care plans
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care
- Contributing to the development of policies and procedures that support quality improvement
- Supporting the Ward Manager in ensuring an effective and skilled workforce is available to deliver services
Requirements
- RSCN/RN Child qualification
- Post-registration professional development in paediatric nursing
- Teaching or assessing qualification
- Previous experience in a Band 5 post with experience of paediatric surgery
- Proven management experience in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of current specialist clinical evidence-based practice
- Understanding of patient confidentiality and equal opportunities
