VN Appointments LTD t/a VNA EDUCATION is a leading provider of education services, and we are seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to join our team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Director of Human Resources to lead our HR function and provide strategic guidance to our senior leaders. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing HR functions in a complex organisation and will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert HR advice and guidance to senior leaders and managers
  • Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Managing employee relations and investigations
  • Overseeing recruitment and retention strategies
  • Ensuring compliance with employment law and regulations
  • Providing HR analytics and insights to inform business decisions

Key Responsibilities:

1. HR Advice and Guidance:

Provide expert HR advice and guidance to senior leaders and managers on employment law, HR policies and procedures, and employee relations.

2. HR Policy Development:

Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with the organisation's goals and objectives.

3. Employee Relations:

Manage employee relations and investigations, including grievances, disciplinary procedures, and redundancies.

4. Recruitment and Retention:

Oversee recruitment and retention strategies to ensure the organisation attracts and retains top talent.

5. Compliance:

Ensure compliance with employment law and regulations, including the Public Sector Equality Duty.

6. HR Analytics:

Provide HR analytics and insights to inform business decisions and drive organisational performance.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • CIPD Level 7 or equivalent
  • Safer Recruitment trained
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Extensive experience of managing HR functions in a complex organisation
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of HR issues and procedures
  • Experience of providing HR services to the education sector
  • Experience of implementing information systems and processes
  • Strong IT skills
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills
