Scofell Landscapes is seeking an experienced HR Manager to spearhead the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and procedures to support our growing team.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee all recruitment processes, including screening, interviewing, and onboarding of candidates.
- Maintain employee records, track sickness, holiday, and absence, and conduct pre-employment checks using Worknest and Staffvetting.
- Manage investigations and complex employee relations issues.
- Support the Directors in the disciplinary process, ensuring best practice is followed by Managers.
- Report monthly salary variations to the Finance Director.
- Monitor probation/induction timelines and staff sickness in line with the Bradford factor policy.
- Work closely with Management to identify and plan staff deployment and strategically plan for future gaps in recruitment.
- Provide HR guidance and support to Management.
- Nurture workforce and staff engagement.
- Plan and implement team building and staff engagement days.
- Set and review pay structures, employee perks, and benefits.
- Ensure HR policies are up-to-date.
- Provide confidential support and guidance in HR-related matters.
- Line manage the HR & Health & Safety Co-ordinator.
- Launch a new HR software package and provide tools and frameworks to support employees and managers.
- Prior experience in an operational HR role.
- CIPD qualification desirable but not essential.
- Comprehensive understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Positive, empathetic, and approachable manner.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Collaborative and pragmatic approach to work.
- Excellent user of Microsoft and Excel applications.
- Flexible hours/hybrid role.
