About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at CareTech Group. As a key member of our complex care community, you will be responsible for providing specialist assessments and therapeutic interventions to young people with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of young people's needs and develop personalized plans for therapeutic intervention
  • Provide trauma-informed approaches and psychological understanding to support young people's recovery
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and support
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with young people, families, and carers to promote positive outcomes
  • Participate in regular clinical supervision and peer support to ensure high-quality practice

Requirements:

  • Registered with the relevant professional organization (HCPC, NMC, BACP)
  • Higher-level qualification in a relevant subject such as counselling, therapeutic support, psychotherapy, Social Worker, or Nursing
  • Experience of working with vulnerable young people in a therapeutic or counselling setting
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to plan and implement therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches
  • Experience of using a consultation model/approaches
  • Understanding of social, emotional, and mental health difficulties
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain calm in stressful situations
  • Ability to assess and mitigate risk of young people
  • Ability to work autonomously and make decisions as part of a team
