About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Mental Health Support Team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mental health services to young people in education settings.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide low-intensity evidenced-based CBT interventions to young people, managing risk and promoting mental well-being.
  • Work closely with education professionals to foster a whole-school approach to mental health and wellbeing.
  • Develop and deliver individual and group time-limited interventions to young people within education settings.
  • Evidence the outcomes of the MHST service and contribute to the development of the professional group of mental health practitioners in education settings.
Requirements
  • Core profession with valid registration of professional body (e.g. RMN, Social Work, or equivalent postgraduate accreditation).
  • Evidence of continuing professional development in child and adolescent mental health.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Completion of a CYP improving access to psychological therapies certificate.
  • Experience of supporting young people in an educational setting.
