TXM Recruit is seeking a Health and Safety Expert to join a rapidly expanding Rail company in Staffordshire. This is an ideal opportunity for a HSE Lead looking to take their career to the next level.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering timely and effective health, safety, and environmental support and advice across the business. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that all policies and practices are regularly reviewed and updated as required.
  • Supporting operational teams with the production of risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Undertaking occupational exposure monitoring, assisting external providers as required.
  • Providing advice on risk management and health surveillance.
  • Assisting with the development and undertaking of HSE Audits and Assessment Plans.
  • Developing and delivering HSE training and identifying suitable external providers as required.
  • Taking the lead on coordinating and facilitating safety committee meetings.

Competencies required include:

  1. Minimum level 3 Health & Safety qualification, e.g., NEBOSH National Certificate.
  2. Full UK driving licence.
  3. Knowledgeable of requirements for working within a rail safety-critical environment.
  4. Demonstrable experience developing, communicating, and embedding policies, systems, and procedures.
  5. Experience training and coaching others, both in groups and 1-2-1, to develop knowledge and improve performance.

The salary for this role is up to £45,000 per annum, plus a performance-based annual bonus. If you have the necessary skills and experience, we would love to hear from you.
