Job Description:

As a seasoned HSE professional, you will play a critical role in delivering timely and effective health, safety, and environmental support across our rapidly expanding Rail business. With a strong focus on leading by example, you will be responsible for ensuring a "safety first" culture permeates every aspect of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting operational teams with the production of risk assessments and safe systems of work to mitigate potential hazards.
  • Conducting occupational exposure monitoring, providing expert advice on risk management and health surveillance to ensure compliance.
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of comprehensive HSE Audits and Assessment Plans to drive continuous improvement.
  • Designing and delivering engaging HSE training programs, leveraging external expertise where necessary.
  • Catalyzing collaborative efforts through coordination and facilitation of safety committee meetings, fostering open dialogue and driving meaningful change.

A competitive salary of up to £45,000 per annum, plus performance-based annual bonuses, awaits the successful candidate. As an integral member of our team, you will enjoy a day shift schedule (Monday to Friday) in a dynamic, supportive environment that values innovation and collaboration.

Requirements:
  • Minimum Level 3 Health and Safety qualification, such as NEBOSH National Certificate.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • In-depth knowledge of rail safety-critical environments and associated regulations.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing, communicating, and embedding policies, systems, and procedures.
  • Proven ability to train and coach others, both individually and in groups, to enhance knowledge and performance.
