Railway HSE Professional

Railway companies in the UK require dedicated professionals like Railway HSE Professionals to ensure compliance with industry regulations and maintain a safe working environment. TXM Recruit is currently seeking such a professional to join their team.
The selected individual will be responsible for overseeing the reporting and investigation of incidents, leading on training and coaching, and embedding a continuous improvement approach to the company's HSE culture and performance. The role also involves:
- Ensuring that all policies and practices are regularly reviewed and updated as required.
- Supporting operational teams with the production of risk assessments and safe systems of work.
- Undertaking occupational exposure monitoring, assisting external providers as required.
- Providing advice on risk management and health surveillance.
- Assisting with the development and undertaking of HSE Audits and Assessment Plans.
- Developing and delivering HSE training and identifying suitable external providers as required.
- Taking the lead on coordinating and facilitating safety committee meetings.
Key qualifications and competencies required for this position include:
- Minimum level 3 Health & Safety qualification, e.g., NEBOSH National Certificate.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Knowledgeable of requirements for working within a rail safety-critical environment.
- Demonstrable experience developing, communicating, and embedding policies, systems, and procedures.
- Experience training and coaching others, both in groups and 1-2-1, to develop knowledge and improve performance.
The compensation package for this role includes a salary of up to £45,000 per year, plus a performance-based annual bonus.
