Job Description: Primary School Teaching Assistant Position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our primary school team at Wayman Learning Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to supporting students and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing the classroom, ensuring that all students receive the support they need to succeed.
  2. Work with students who require additional support, providing individualized attention and help to overcome challenges.
  3. Assist with planning and organizing learning activities, including preparing materials and resources for teachers and students.
  4. Encourage positive behavior and a love of learning among students, promoting a sense of community and teamwork within the school.
  5. Help create a safe and supportive learning environment, promoting the well-being and happiness of all students.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with teachers, students, and parents.
  • A clear DBS check and the right to work in the UK.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including professional development opportunities and a supportive work environment.
