Job Title: Automotive Performance Manager

Estimated Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Performance Manager to join our team at Millbrook. As a key member of our engine test centre, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the facility.

Your primary objective will be to ensure the efficient running of the test centre, managing direct reports and their performance, training, and health and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversight of the Engine Test Centre's daily operations
  • Preparation and installation of test samples into engine test cells
  • Motivating and mentoring team members to achieve departmental goals
  • Promoting a positive working environment
  • Co-ordinating resources to maximise efficiency and productivity
  • Approving timesheets and holiday requests
  • Liaising with supporting departments, engineers, and customers
  • Continuing initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency
  • Leading operational projects to resolve complex testing requirements
Requirements
  • Experience in automotive and/or testing background
  • Health and Safety management experience, including risk assessments and LOLER/Puwer

Skills:

  • Knowledge of gasoline and diesel engine fundamentals
  • Understanding of engine support systems
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
