Job Title: Reliability & Test Methodology Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability and Test Methodology Engineer to join our team at Quintessential Design Services Limited. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing test methods for new electrified propulsion systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop component-specific design verification and validation test methods for new automotive technology.
  • Enhance our test plans to create efficient tests that excite specific mechanisms of failure.
  • Participate in product design processes to understand product features, functions, and lifecycle events.
  • Perform lifecycle assessment and provide recommendations to design teams to achieve life cycle targets.
  • Develop standard methods, trainings, and methodologies to ensure implementation within the organization.
  • Share knowledge and have a motivation to teach and develop others.

Requirements:

  • Degree or similar qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related subject.
  • Strong background in product development and experience in component/system design and verification/validation.
  • Understanding of quality tools, particularly Failure Mode Avoidance (FMA) and Design for Reliability (DfR) methods and principles.
  • Familiarity with failure mode analysis and ability to problem solve and effectively communicate findings.
  • Knowledge of reliability engineering and statistical analysis.
  • Working knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques.
