About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Reliability Maintenance Engineering Specialist to join our team at Amazon UK Services Ltd. in the Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing technologies in the Global Amazon Warehouse & Delivery Network.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical disciplines, with relevant experience in automation or complex MHE environments. They will also have a solid understanding of PLC-based controls systems, CMMS, and Statutory Compliance requirements.

The role will involve working in a hands-on manner, demonstrating SME levels of knowledge on all MHE in the building, and providing high levels of equipment availability to internal customers through troubleshooting and prioritization.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting continuous improvement of systems in a standard manner across the EU network, developing and maintaining good working relationships across all levels in the organization, and managing contractors.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Coventry, LEC, GBR.

Key Responsibilities
  • Role model health & safety best practices and monitor those around them to ensure they follow the example they set.
  • Work in a hands-on manner and demonstrate SME levels of knowledge on all MHE in the building.
  • Coach and mentor the technicians on shift.
  • Support the line manager and to supervise the shift in their absence.
  • Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers by means of troubleshooting and prioritizing.
  • Support continuous improvement of systems in a standard manner across the EU network.
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship across all levels in the organization.
  • Understanding of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and equipment performance metrics.
  • Management of contractors.
