Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the transportation of passengers with disabilities and sensory impairments, ensuring their welfare and maintaining their dignity.
  • Provide care duties associated with transport services, including assisting passengers to prepare for their journey and ensuring their safety and comfort while on the vehicle.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to deliver high-quality transport services that meet the needs of our passengers.
  • Operate the vehicle tailgate-lift during the boarding and alighting of passengers in wheelchairs, following established procedures.
  • Ensure the safe application of wheelchair clamps and straps and other specialist equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of transport services, as required by Integrated Transport procedures.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to perform the demands of the role.
  • Knowledge of disability awareness and sensitivity.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
