About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in providing high-quality care to Verity, a young woman with an acquired brain injury. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring Verity's physical and emotional needs are met, enabling her to live a fulfilling and independent life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care, including hoisting, bathing, and dressing
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation and medication management
  • Support Verity with her mobility and transfers, using hoisting equipment as needed
  • Engage in social activities with Verity, such as watching TV, playing games, and going out
  • Communicate effectively with Verity, using non-verbal cues and body language to understand her needs and wishes
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure continuity of care and high standards
Requirements
  • Experience in care work, preferably with individuals with acquired brain injuries
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to Verity's changing needs
