About Verity:

Verity is a 40-year-old woman with an acquired brain injury, who requires 24-hour care. She is registered blind and relies on her care team to interpret her non-verbal communication. Verity enjoys social activities, such as watching TV and going out to the cinema, and values her independence.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care, including hoisting, bathing, and dressing
  • Assist with mobility and transfers using hoisting equipment
  • Support Verity with her daily needs, including medication and meal preparation
  • Engage in social activities with Verity, such as watching TV and going out
  • Communicate effectively with Verity and her family to ensure her needs are met

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in care or a related field
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical ability to lift and move Verity safely
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to Verity's needs
