GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Mentor to join a dynamic team at a client school. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with students who need support in managing their behaviour and social interactions, helping them to succeed both academically and personally.

As a Behaviour Support Mentor, you will provide one-to-one and group support to students exhibiting challenging behaviours, ensuring they receive the necessary guidance and attention. You will help implement personalised behaviour plans, focusing on promoting positive behaviour and enhancing students' learning experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and group support to students exhibiting challenging behaviours.
  • Help implement personalised behaviour plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to provide consistent, tailored support across the school.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback.
  • Encourage the development of essential skills, including social skills and emotional resilience.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting students with challenging behaviours.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour effectively.
  • A proactive and compassionate approach to working with students.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
