About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to join our Adult Epilepsy Specialist Nurse (AESN) team as an Assistant Practitioner. The successful candidate will work closely with our registered clinicians, supporting the patient pathway from referral to discharge.

Main Responsibilities

The Assistant Practitioner will be responsible for managing and monitoring AESN waiting lists, prioritising referrals according to service and patient need. They will also assist in organising and delivering an epilepsy training programme for residential and supported living care providers, with an AESN.

Key Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a foundation degree programme or equivalent, with experience of working with people in the statutory/voluntary/private sector. They will also possess IT and keyboard skills, with the ability to concentrate when inputting data/patient records. Good time management and prioritisation skills are essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal English.
