Job Description

Parker Smith Inclusion is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join their team.

  • Candidates should have experience working with children of varying abilities and needs.
  • A solid understanding of the national/foundation stage curriculum is required.
  • Flexibility to work across different classes with students of varying ages and needs is key.
  • Knowledge of strategies for supporting pupils with Complex Learning Needs is essential.
  • A true passion for working with special needs children and a desire to develop the skills to support their growth is necessary.
  • The ability to self-evaluate and seek opportunities for personal and professional development is important.
  • Calm, effective communication skills, and the ability to relate well to both children and adults are required.
  • The ability to reflect on your own behaviour to ensure teamwork and collaboration are strong is crucial.
  • A high level of professionalism, with the ability to maintain appropriate boundaries in all school-related relationships, is expected.
  • Level 2 (GCSE) qualifications in English and Maths (or an equivalent competence in literacy and numeracy) are required.
  • An interest in using specialist IT software and tools, like iPads, to enhance students' learning and communication is beneficial.
