Forensic Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Forensic Psychiatry to join our team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to our inpatient population within the medium secure services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical leadership and assessment and management of inpatients and the wider responsibilities of the forensic service locally, including prisons and community forensic mental health teams.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement sustainable specialist forensic services for the population of North Wales.
- Contribute to the development of forensic services, including the establishment of new roles in community and inpatient teams.
- Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to forensic mental health.
- Engage in teaching and training activities, including postgraduate teaching and multidisciplinary teaching.

Requirements- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
- Included on GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of completing CCT.
- Approved under S12 or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
- Approved Clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
